It is easy to be negative when faced with issues like this, but that is not the answer. There are ways to combat this type of stress that will allow your mind to be clear and your body to be able to function at its peak.First of all, let's be clear about what students typically do to cope with the pressure of writing papers. The students begin to drink. In some cases, they will drink before school, the evening before, or even on the day of. The common practice is to grab a couple of beers and reach for the paper when there is little time left in the day.Well, this is probably not the best idea. Over time, this drinking problem can lead to high blood pressure, heart problems, stroke, and heart disease. You would not want to let the stresses of school dictate how you live your life, so begin a new, healthi er habit by limiting yourself to one beer every other day or more often.Another thing you should do is sit down with different college students and find out their favorite pastimes. Some are athletic and some have creative hobbies. Take note of what activities they enjoy doing, and get involved in a sport or a hobby that could help them relax. But, don't forget that the physical activity will help to keep your mind sharp and alert. Your body needs exercise to help it recover, and if you spend too much time drinking, you are not getting that exercise. You may want to look into taking a gardening class or a health class. These classes can help you to relax while still getting the benefit of learning something new.You may also want to pick up a good book about how to write an essay. Many students have tried to write papers when they should have been working out or studying. A simple refresher course in English composition or a research paper will be quite helpful. You can even get help from a friend or professor if needed. All of these things will help the student to learn different activities that will help them to relax and calm their nerves. These activities can all be practiced on test days as well. If possible, you should use this time to improve your essay or maybe just watch some television or listen to music. If your professors do not seem to be helping, there are a few tips for reducing academic stress in college students. Often, professors may require more work than normal, and therefore, you may need extra practice time. If your instructor does not want to give you extra work, tell him or her that you need more relaxation time and see if they can help you find something else to do during class.
